NOTE - Mounting STAR18RS on Wall or Ceiling

The electronic tilt switch must be disabled only if the heater is mounted on a wall or ceiling. If the heater is mounted on a stand, the tilt switch must remain enabled for safety reasons. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in error code "E3." Please follow the instructions below carefully: “E3” indicates that the tilt switch is activated.

It is possible to deactivate the tilt switch, but we have intentionally made this process more challenging to prevent accidental deactivation. Here is the process, step by step:

1. 1. First, unplug the heater and then reconnect it. (Have the remote control ready because you only have a few seconds to make the changes after reconnecting.)
   2. Immediately after reconnecting, when you see the lights circling, press the timer button (bottom-right), the thermostat button (bottom-left), and the level button (center) within 2 seconds.
   3. If done correctly, you should see the letter "A" or "P" on the display, indicating success.
   4. By default, the tilt-over switch is active, so you should see the letter "A." You can use the + and – buttons to toggle between "A" and "P." To deactivate the tilt switch, set it to "P," and then turn off the unit using the power button.
   5. When you turn it on again, the tilt switch should be deactivated and will remain so unless you repeat the steps to activate it again.
