Details
Silent warmth with a sleek glass finish
The Opranic P7 is a glass panel heater with a clean, understated design for your home or office. Its black or white toughened glass front sits within a slim metal frame, and the panel is just 2.5 cm deep. With no fan or moving parts, it provides silent warmth in living rooms, bedrooms, offices and bathrooms.
How the P7 heats your room
The P7 emits long-wave infrared heat, warming people and surfaces in its path rather than the air alone. The heating elements reach towards the edges of the panel, spreading warmth evenly across the glass surface without hot spots. A 2 cm layer of rear insulation and an aluminium reflector direct the heat forwards and limit heat transfer to the wall behind it.
The panel converts approximately 98% of the electricity it uses into heat. This is a measure of energy conversion, not a guarantee of lower heating costs. Actual energy use depends on the room’s heat loss, your chosen temperature and how long the heating runs.
Why choose toughened glass?
The P7 has a toughened safety glass front, which is considerably stronger than ordinary glass of the same thickness. It distributes heat evenly across the surface and retains its finish over time. Once the panel has cooled, wipe it clean with a damp cloth. The P7 is certified by TÜV Süd and comes with a five-year warranty on the panel and heating element. The glass front adds weight compared with steel, so the P7 is designed exclusively for wall mounting.
Choose the right size for your room
Choose from 450 W, 700 W and 900 W models. The white finish is available on the 450 W model; black is available in 450 W, 700 W and 900 W. As a starting point, allow around 100 W per square metre in an insulated room with a 2.4 m ceiling. Older buildings, large areas of glazing and higher ceilings may need more heating power. Larger rooms may benefit from several panels positioned around the space.
The table below gives a guide to the room size each model can heat. Contact us if you need help choosing the right output.
Temperature control
The P7 requires an external room thermostat, which is sold separately. Choose a compatible thermostat with weekly programming and open-window detection, rated for the panel’s electrical load. Position the room sensor away from the panel so that it measures the room temperature accurately.
A compatible external control can also connect the P7 to a smart-home system. Contact Opranic for help choosing a compatible control for your heater.
Horizontal or vertical wall mounting
Use the supplied locking bracket to mount the P7 horizontally or vertically on a wall. The bracket locks the panel in place so that it cannot be knocked off its mount. The panel is 2.5 cm deep, with a total installed depth of approximately 5 cm including the bracket.
Placement and safe use
The P7 is designed for enclosed indoor spaces. Its IP44 rating provides protection against splashing water. For bathroom installation, follow the manual and the relevant electrical installation regulations, and position the panel outside the splash zone.
The glass surface becomes hot during use. Avoid touching it while it is heating. Built-in overheating protection is a safety feature; it does not make the surface safe to touch.
- Keep combustible materials at least 30 cm in front of the panel and 10 cm from its edges, including above and below.
- When wall-mounted, keep the panel at least 15 cm above the floor.
- Keep the panel clear of curtains and other textiles.
- Follow the mounting and safety instructions in the user manual.
Installing the panel
Fix the bracket to a suitable wall using fixings appropriate for the surface and the weight of the panel. Slide the panel into place and secure it with the locking bracket, following the manual. Mounting hardware is included. For effective heating, position the panel no more than 3–4 m from the area you want to warm.
Five-year warranty
The P7 comes with a five-year warranty covering the panel and heating element under normal use. Keep your proof of purchase and refer to the warranty terms in the manual.
This product is only suitable for well-insulated spaces or occasional use.
