No fan, no draught, no dry air. Just warm surfaces.
Our guides explain how many watts a room needs, where a panel should sit and what the energy label means in practice.

The Opranic P5 is a slim infrared panel for the wall or the ceiling, with a textured steel front in a metal housing. Behind the element, 2 cm of insulation and an aluminium reflector direct the warmth into the room.
Steel spreads the heat evenly across the surface and stands up to everyday knocks in hallways, workshops and rented homes.
Guide values for an insulated room with a 2.4 m ceiling, at around 100 W per square metre. Older buildings, large windows and higher ceilings need more.
60 × 40 cm, 5.5 kg. For a small bathroom, a hallway or a cloakroom.
60 × 60 cm, 6.9 kg. For a home office, a bathroom or a small bedroom.
90 × 60 cm, 8.4 kg. For a bedroom or a kitchen. Takes the optional towel holder.
120 × 60 cm, 12.2 kg. For a living room, or several panels in a larger room. Takes the optional towel holder.
The P5 needs an external room thermostat, sold separately. The plug-in thermostat OT50 sits between the socket and the panel. Place it away from the panel so it measures the room. Optional feet turn the panel into a freestanding heater, and a towel holder fits the 700 and 900 W models.
A 900 W panel at full output, with electricity at €0.38 per kWh. A 450 W panel costs half. The thermostat switches the panel off once the room is warm, so the real cost depends on the room and on the hours you heat.
The P5 gives long-wave infrared heat that warms the people and surfaces in front of it. The heating elements reach towards the edges of the panel, so the whole steel front gives off warmth. The insulation and the reflector at the back keep the rear at about 35 to 45 °C while the front reaches 95 to 115 °C.
At full output and €0.38 per kWh, the P5 300 costs about €0.11 per hour, the P5 450 about €0.17, the P5 700 about €0.27 and the P5 900 about €0.34. The panel turns about 99% of the electricity into heat. That figure describes the conversion and is no promise of a lower bill. With a thermostat the panel only heats until the room is warm. See the running cost guide.
On the ceiling the P5 keeps every wall free and sends its warmth down over the seating, the desk or the bed. Use the supplied locking bracket and fixings that suit the ceiling. The installed depth is about 5 cm including the bracket. Place the panel no more than 3 to 4 m from the area you want to warm. Read the ceiling guide.
The P5 is rated IP44, which means protection against splashing water. Mount it outside the splash zone and follow the manual and the electrical installation rules that apply where you live. The optional towel holder in brushed aluminium fits the P5 700 and the P5 900 and holds two towels. Read the bathroom guide.
With the optional feet the P5 stands on the floor and moves to the room where you need it. Choose the feet kit PF001 for the P5 300 and the kit PF002 for the P5 450, the P5 700 and the P5 900. The feet are white powder-coated metal and are sold separately.
Keep combustible materials at least 30 cm from the front and 10 cm from the edges of the panel, and mount it at least 15 cm above the floor. Keep curtains and other textiles clear. The surface gets hot and must not be touched or covered while the panel heats. Overheating and overvoltage protection are built in.
The P5 panel in the size you chose, the locking mounting bracket, screws and wall plugs, the fixed 1.9 m power cable with plug and the user manual. The room thermostat, the feet and the towel holder are accessories and are sold separately.
The P5 comes with a five-year warranty on the panel and the heating element. It is certified by TÜV Süd and CE marked. Keep your proof of purchase. Opranic has worked with infrared heating since 2009.
