Opranic P7 Glass Panel Heater, Infrared, Black or White, 450 to 900 W

The Opranic P7 is a glass panel heater for rooms where the heating should be seen as little as possible. Its tempered glass front, in black or white, sits in a slim metal frame just 2.5 cm deep and works silently, with no fan or moving parts. Hang it beside a sofa, above a desk or on a bathroom wall and it reads as a panel, not as a radiator.

How the P7 heats your room

The P7 emits long-wave infrared heat, warming people and surfaces in its path rather than the air alone. Heating elements extend towards the edges of the panel so that the whole glass surface radiates evenly, without hot spots. A 2 cm layer of rear insulation and an aluminium reflector direct the heat forwards and limit the heat reaching the wall behind the panel.

The panel converts approximately 98% of the electricity it uses into heat. This describes energy conversion, not a guaranteed reduction in your heating bill. Actual energy use depends on the room’s heat loss, your chosen temperature and how long the heating runs.

Why tempered glass

The front of the P7 is tempered safety glass, considerably stronger than ordinary glass of the same thickness. Glass holds an even surface temperature, wipes clean with a damp cloth once the panel has cooled, and keeps its finish for years. The P7 is certified by TÜV Süd and carries a five-year warranty on the panel and element. Because a glass front is heavier than steel, the P7 is made for wall mounting only; no feet are offered for this model.

Choose the right size for your room

Choose from 450 W, 700 W and 900 W models. White is available in 450 W; black in 450 W, 700 W and 900 W. As a starting point, allow around 100 W per square metre in an insulated room with a 2.4 m ceiling. Older buildings, large areas of glazing and higher ceilings may need more heating power. Larger rooms may benefit from several panels positioned around the space.

Temperature control

The P7 requires an external room thermostat, which is sold separately. Choose a compatible control with weekly programming and open-window detection, suitable for the panel’s electrical load. Position the room sensor away from the panel so that it measures the room temperature accurately.

Horizontal or vertical wall mounting

Use the supplied locking bracket to mount the P7 horizontally or vertically on a wall. The bracket locks the panel in place so that it cannot be knocked off its mount. The panel is 2.5 cm deep, with a total installed depth of approximately 5 cm including the bracket.

Installing the panel

Fix the bracket to a suitable wall using fixings appropriate for the surface and the weight of the panel. Slide the panel into place and secure it with the locking bracket, following the manual. Mounting hardware is included. For effective heating, position the panel no more than 3 to 4 m from the area you want to warm.

Five-year warranty

The P7 comes with a five-year warranty covering the panel and heating element under normal use. Keep your proof of purchase and refer to the warranty terms in the manual.
