Opranic PRO V70R Patio Heater, Wall and Ceiling Mounted, with Remote Control

The Opranic PRO V70R brings adjustable infrared warmth to restaurant terraces, hotel courtyards and patios at home. Wall or ceiling mounting keeps the floor clear, while the remote control lets you adjust the heat as the evening cools. For installations with several heaters, Auto-restart mode allows central switching.

Warmth in seconds

The IR-X Carbon Black™ element reaches full output in three to five seconds. Its peak wavelength is 2.2 µm, and the Pro parabolic reflector directs radiant heat towards the seating area. The element has a rated service life of up to approximately 12,000 hours.

Control from your seat

Choose from five heat settings, from 920 W to 2300 W, using the long-range remote control or the controls on the heater. Set the timer to switch the heater off automatically after 1 to 9 hours. The warmth you feel depends on mounting height, your distance from the heater, the air temperature and the wind.

Auto-restart mode for central switching

Auto-restart mode is designed for patios with several heaters controlled from one wall switch, timer or contactor. Once enabled on each heater, every unit that was heating when the power was cut resumes at its last level when the power returns. The mode is off as delivered; the V-Line user manual (PDF) describes how to enable it with the remote control. A power cut resets a running timer.

Enable or disable Auto-restart

1. Put the heater in standby. Wait until the display shows two dashes: --.
2. Point the remote at the receiver and press the following buttons in order:
   Max → P+ → P- → Max
3. Read the displayed setting: r1 means Auto-restart is on, the heater resumes at its last power level when the supply returns; r0 means it is off, the heater starts in standby. Each complete sequence changes the setting. No separate save step is needed.

Warning: when Auto-restart mode is enabled, heating resumes at the last selected power level when the electricity supply returns. Keep the area in front of the heater clear even while the supply is off.

Recommendation: use Auto-restart mode only with an external timer that cuts the power to the connected heaters, or a central on/off switch that cuts the power whenever nobody is present. This reduces the risk of heaters operating unattended. The built-in timer and the standby function on the remote control do not disconnect the electricity supply.

Built for demanding environments

The powder-coated aluminium housing has painted end covers, a brushed 18/8 stainless steel grille and stainless steel screws. Its IP65 rating protects against dust and water jets, so the heater can remain mounted outdoors throughout the year. Choose Jet Black or Cloud White.

Choosing a heater for your space

The PRO V70R suits restaurant and café terraces, hotel courtyards, rooftop seating areas, pergolas and covered outdoor dining spaces. As a guide, one heater serves approximately 6 to 11 m² when mounted 1.8 to 2.5 m above the floor, at an outdoor temperature of around 10 °C. Exposed sites may need more heating power; a roof and side walls help shelter the seating area.

Running cost

At full power, the PRO V70R uses 2.3 kWh of electricity in one hour. At €0.38/kWh, that costs around €0.87 per hour. Lower heat settings use proportionally less electricity. The gas comparison below gives an illustrative example for a larger installation.

Five-year warranty

The PRO V70R comes with a five-year warranty on the heater and its electronics under normal use. The heating tube is covered for two years. Full terms are set out in the user manual.

Use in conservatories and enclosed rooms

Ecodesign Regulation (EU) 2024/1103 sets requirements for electric heaters used in enclosed rooms, including electronic room temperature control with a weekly timer and open-window detection. The Opranic PRO V70R is designed for outdoor use, including covered terraces, pergolas and open conservatories. For enclosed rooms, operate it through a room thermostat that provides these functions, or choose the Opranic S50R or S70R, which meet the requirements of the regulation for portable radiant heaters.
