The Opranic V50R brings adjustable warmth to patios, balconies and covered outdoor seating areas. Designed for seasonal use, it is a practical choice for cool spring evenings, autumn weekends and holidays. Wall or ceiling mounting keeps the floor free, while the Champagne finish sits neatly alongside outdoor furniture and fittings.

Warmth in seconds

The IR-X Carbon Black element reaches full output in 3 to 5 seconds, so you can switch the heater on when you sit down. It delivers mediumwave infrared heat with a peak wavelength of 2.2 µm. A parabolic reflector directs the warmth towards your seating area, with little visible light.

The heating element converts 96% of its electrical input into radiant heat and has a rated service life of up to 8,000 hours.

Set the warmth to suit the evening

Choose from five heat settings using the infrared remote control, from a gentle 920 W to the full 2300 W. The display shows the selected level, and the Max button takes you straight to full power. Set the automatic switch-off timer for 1 to 9 hours when you want the heater to turn off after a set time.

Made for seasonal outdoor use

The slim housing combines anodised aluminium in Champagne with black end covers, a chrome-plated steel grille and rust-protected screws. A standard reflector directs the heat where it is needed. IP65 protection guards against dust and water jets, allowing the heater to remain mounted outdoors throughout the year.

The V50R suits home patios, balconies, holiday homes and smaller café terraces where heating is used when people are outside. For spaces heated frequently over long periods, the Opranic PRO V70R offers a more substantial construction.

Choosing a heater for your seating area

At full output, one V50R can warm a sheltered seating area of approximately 6 to 11 m². This is a guide for a mounting height of 1.8 to 2.5 m and an outdoor temperature of around 10 °C. Wind, open sides and the distance between the heater and your seats affect how much warmth you feel. Larger or more exposed areas may need several heaters.

Wall or ceiling mounting

The supplied two-piece brackets let you adjust the spacing between the fixing points and aim the heater towards the seating area. Choose a solid supporting surface and use fixings suitable for its material and the heater’s weight. Keep the power cable outside the hot and radiant areas.

Mount the heater at least 1.8 m above the floor, measured to its lowest outer edge after adjusting the angle. Near a ceiling, the recommended direction is 45° downwards. Follow the clearances below and the installation diagrams in the V-Line user manual.

Power supply and connection

The V50R is supplied with a 1.9 m cable and a Type F Schuko plug. Use an earthed socket and a supply that matches the rating label: 220 to 240 V AC, 50 Hz. At 230 V, the heater draws 10 A at full power. The user manual specifies a separate circuit with a fuse rating of at least 10 A, without other appliances sharing the same fuse or multi-socket adaptor.

Check that the cable reaches the socket from the chosen mounting position. Keep the plug and socket away from hot surfaces and outside the heating field. For a permanent connection, have a qualified electrician remove the plug and connect the heater to the mains. This does not affect the warranty.

Running cost

At full power, the V50R uses 2.3 kWh of electricity in one hour. At an electricity price of €0.30 per kWh, that costs €0.69 per hour. This is an example: your actual cost depends on your tariff and the selected heat setting. Lower settings use less electricity.

Two-year warranty

The V50R comes with a two-year warranty covering the heater, its electronics, the heating tube and the supplied remote control, subject to the terms in the user manual. Keep your proof of purchase or delivery.

Intended use

The V50R is designed for outdoor use, including covered patios and open conservatories. It is not intended to provide space heating in enclosed indoor areas. Read the user manual before installation and use.
